Help for home day care providers

The LeeShore Center, formerly the Women's Resource and Crisis Center, is a sponsor in the USDA child and adult care food program that is administered by the Alaska Department of Education and Early Development.

The same meals will be made available to enrolled children in each of its sponsored child care homes, and it will be provided at no charge without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. For more information or to enroll, call Jennette at 283-4707.

Teen center open house today

The Boys and Girls Club Teen Center will hold an open house from 3 to 11 p.m. today. It is open to the public. The evening scheduled activities include a chubby bunny contest at 3; fear factor contest from 4 to 6; a pool tourney at 6; and pool, ping pong tournaments, arcade games and music with prizes at 7. Corned beef dinner planned

The Sterling Senior Center will host a corned beef and cabbage dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the center in honor of St. Patrick's Day.

Historical society to meet

The Soldotna Historical Society will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday at River City Books. It is open to the public. For more information,call 262-5157.

Spring bazaar set

The Nikiski Senior Citizens Center will hold its annual spring bazaar and bake sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 31 through April 2. Tables are available for rent. For more information, call 776-7654.

Flyball seminar slated

The Peninsula Dog Obedience Group will sponsor a flyball seminar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 16 at the PenDOG facility on Kalifornsky Beach Road in Soldotna. Participants are encouraged to bring a sack lunch; beverages will be provided. No dogs, please.
