Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Walker addresses the Kenai members of the Alaska Support Industry Alliance at its luncheon Tuesday afternoon. Citing the declining oil throughput of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, Walker champions a state controlled all-Alaska gasline from the North Slope to Valdez for energy and the economy. Walker is an Anchorage attorney, project manager/general counsel for the non-profit Alaska Gasline Port Authority and a lifelong Alaskan. "I'm not looking for a job," he told the Alliance. "It's time we have an option that doesn't involve politics as usual."
