Dolphin plays role in Van Troba, Coghill engagement

Victoria Faith Van Troba and William Mars Coghill will marry June 17 in Anchorage.

The future bride is the daughter of Cynthia Cabo Carroll and Steve Van Troba. She is a 1995 graduate of Colony High School and received a marketing degree in 1999 from the University of Alaska Anchorage.

The groom-to-be is the son of Debbie and Bill Coghill. He is the a 1994 graduate of Soldotna High School and received a degree in civil engineering from Washington State University in 1998.

William proposed to Victoria by surprising her with a trip to San Diego to visit her grandparents for Thanksgiving. During a visit to Sea World, the couple entered the dolphin interaction tank. The dolphin retrieved a bottle that contained a message that read, "Will you marry me?"

Forms for engagements and weddings are available at the Clarion's Kenai and Soldotna offices. Color or black and white pictures also may be submitted. Photos with an address written on the back will be returned.

Weddings must be submitted within six months to be printed.
