Heather Elisabeth Voss and Joshua James Dunn were married in a noon ceremony Dec. 18, 1999, at the Twin Rivers Baptist Church in Springfield, Ore. The wedding was performed by the fathers of the couple.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Julie Voss of Springfield.
The maids of honor were Hillary and Haley Voss, sisters of the bride. The bridesmaids were Cassee Steed, Jenny Rainbow, Elisa Shubin and Elizabeth Dunn, sister of the groom. They wore long, red satin gowns.
The groom is the son of James and Terry Dunn of Kenai.
The best man was Jeff Chaussee. The groomsmen were Nate and Joel Dunn, brothers of the groom, Josh Yates, Ryan Vogt, cousin of the groom, and Dave Hills. They wore black tuxedos with dark green vests.
The church was decorated with Christmas trees, white lights and poinsettias. Nate and Liz Dunn sang two original songs written especially for the couple. Isaac Voss, brother of the bride, provided piano music and sang a song he wrote for the couple.
Special guests included the groom's aunt, uncle and cousins from Spain; grandparents from Oregon, Nevada and California; and former Soldotna residents Dave and Penny Stousland of Medford, Ore., Eric and Wendy Olson of Portland, Ore., and Mike and Debbie Chaussee of Seattle.
The couple honeymooned in Las Vegas and lives in Salem, Ore.
The bride is student teaching at Keizer Elementary School.
The groom is employed at Fred Meyer Jewelers and plans to complete paramedic schooling in the fall.
