Prom dress sale serves as benefit for SoHi's Cross Country Ski Team
Once again the Soldotna High School Cross Country Ski Team would like to thank Glenn Martin and Martin Mines for donating store space and equipment in the Peninsula Center Mall in Soldotna for its Prom Dress Consignment Sale on March 7 and 8.
Mr. Martin's commitment to helping the community is greatly appreciated. Gottschalks and Beemun's generously provided dress racks for displaying the gowns and dresses brought to the sale. We couldn't have held the sale without them.
Passions brought their stock of beautiful new gowns for liquidation as well as dress shoes; while a big hit was the full tuxedos sold for a mere $25. We thank them for the 30 percent donation from the sale of those items. The Wedding Broker in Sterling also offered new dresses up for liquidation, and we thank them for their generosity.
We greatly appreciate the individuals who donated 30 percent from the sale of their dress/gown to the team as well as those who donated the full amount of the sale of their barely won dress(es).
Again, we appreciate all the great businesses around town that allowed our flyers in their windows, the peninsula schools' help in advertising, the Peninsula Clarion for its community section, and the radio stations for the community service announcements they made. A hearty thank you to our wonderful community.
Be ready for our next sale in the spring of 2004! We'll be back!
