Posted: Tuesday, March 20, 2001

KODIAK (AP) -- An Air Force rocket is schedule to be fired from the Kodiak Launch Complex Thursday as part of the military's Northern Edge exercise.

The missile, called the Quick Reaction Launch Vehicle, will go up between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. if all goes well. The missile earlier had been scheduled for launch on Friday.

It will be the third military suborbital rocket launch from Kodiak, and the first of as many as eight rockets planned to support the exercises.
