BARROW (AP) -- A three-day conference bringing North Slope Borough elders and teenagers together wrapped up Thursday in Barrow.
The conference took place at Barrow High School.
The first such meeting was held 25 years ago.
Participants reviewed their history and considered their future, said Elsie Itta, with the borough's Inupiat History, Language and Culture Commission. Topics discussed included traditional values, language and genealogy, Itta said.
Itta said the theme of this year's conference was ''25 Years Later -- What Have We Learned?''
The conference concluded Thursday night with a potluck and Eskimo dance at the Ipalook Elementary School gymnasium.
