Kasilof biathlete Jay Hakkinen took 84th in a 10-kilometer World Cup sprint on Thursday in Trondheim, Norway.
Hakkinen had two misses on the range, but is not back to good skiing shape after an illness took him out of the World Championships.
In a positive development for the U.S. team, Tim Burke finished ninth while Lowell Bailey finished 20th.
