Ninilchik Senior Center is celebrating its 30th anniversary on Thursday, March 24. We are turning it into a birthday party, and we would like to invite all to share the fun with us. We are hoping for a full house, and for this occasion, we request that you make your reservations early, so that we know how much food to prepare and how to arrange the seating. With a pre-paid reservation, your name will be entered into a special prize drawing. Martha and Dennis Ogren will entertain us with her accordion and his guitar; we will have one free Bingo game; there will be lots of fun and prizes. Meals on Wheels fundraiser coming
Meals on Wheels hosts a fundraiser with barbecue ribs, catfish fry and pie auction, Thursday, March 31, at 6 p.m., at the Kenai Senior Center, 361 Senior Court, Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased at the senior center or Charlottes, in Kenai. Matching grant donations are being accepted through March 31. Door prize donations can be dropped off at any time. The Kenai Senior Center Meals on Wheels delivers over 20,000 meals each year. Volunteers needed at Triumvirate
The Triumvirate Used Bookstore is looking for adult volunteers to work three hours per week at the bookstore in the Peninsula Center Mall, Tuesday through Saturday, from either noon to 3 p.m. or 3 to 6 p.m. Volunteers are needed for organizing and shelving books and totaling sales. No heavy lifting is required. For more information call volunteer coordinator Rosie Reeder at 262-7993. The bookstore supports the Triumvirate Theatre in the same location.
