Soldotna mayor to speak at Alliance meeting

Era official to address Soldotna chamber

Mike Lenorman, sales director of Era Aviation, will be the guest speaker at today's noon luncheon of the Greater Soldotna Chamber of Commerce at the Riverside House.

Magic show coming to Redoubt Elementary

"Stories and Magic of my Dog," a magic show by "Don the Magic Guy" will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday in the gymnasium of Redoubt Elementary School in Soldotna. It is sponsored by the "After the Bell" program.

Crohns and colitis support group to meet

Free tax assistance offered by IRS

Taxpayers in the central Kenai Peninsula will be able to get free in-person help with their tax questions between Thursday and the April 17 filing deadline at the Blazy Mall. Appointments are not necessary. Employees of the IRS will be available every Thursday and Friday until April 14, and then on April 15 and 7.

Genealogist to meet on Thursday

The Kenai Totem Tracers Genealogy Society will meet on Thursday from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the conference room of the Kenai Community Library. The meeting is an open forum, and is an opportunity to ask for suggestions on how to proceed with sticky genealogy research questions. For more information, call 283-4258.

Soldotna seniors plan dinner to raise funds

The Soldotna Senior Center is having a fund-raiser dinner at 5:30 p.m. March 25 to help pay for their new van. Tickets for an evening of food, music, story-telling and dancers are available at the door and cost $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12.
