ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A man attacked a couple with a knife while they slept in an Anchorage apartment, police said.
Police have not arrested anyone in connection with the attack early Wednesday, but they have suspect information, police spokesman Ron McGee said Thursday.
The couple, a 24-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, were sleeping in an apartment in the city's Fairview area when the knife-wielding man apparently broke into their room. About 4:45 a.m., the couple woke to find the man standing over them with a knife, police said.
The man and woman were cut several times while they tried to defend themselves, police said. The man was cut on his forearm, and the woman received cuts on her ankle.
The man with the knife ran from the apartment. The couple were treated and released from Alaska Regional Hospital.
The man was described as Native or Hispanic, in his early 20s, with a medium build and short hair. He was wearing a blue plaid sweatshirt.
