Wagoner to take public opinion on longevity bonus

Sen. Tom Wagoner will attend a longevity bonus program meeting from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the Kenai City Council Chambers to hear public opinion on the proposal to eliminate the program. The public is invited.

Recreation service area to meet

The North Peninsula Recreation Service Area board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Nikiski pool administration building. For more information, call 776-8800.

KDLL board to meet

KDLL-FM public radio's board of directors will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the KDLL studio in the Economic Development building, three miles north of Kenai. The meeting is open to the public. For more information, call 283-8433.

Soccer club to hold tryouts

The Kenai Peninsula Soccer Club will hold tryouts for its competitive soccer teams March 28 and 29. Registration forms may be picked up at Red Line Sports, the Soldotna Public Library, Kenai Recreation Center and HiSpeed Gear. Registration is $35. Volunteers sought for Easter musical

The Soldotna Church of God will present a community Easter musical performance this year. Anyone wishing to help out, either on stage or behind the scenes, is asked to come to the church Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The church is at the corner of Binkley Street and Redoubt Avenue in Soldotna. Spring fling canceled

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Ladies Auxiliary to AmVets Post No. 4 is canceling the "Spring Fling" scheduled for Saturday. The dinner and dance will be rescheduled.

Tack swap planned

The Northwind Riders 4-H club will sponsor a tack swap April 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the C Plaza building in Kenai. Participants are encouraged to swap handcrafted horse and livestock items. Registration forms are available at Cad-Re Feed in Soldotna or the Cooperative Extension office on Kalifornsky Beach Road. Preregistration is due April 1.
