FAIRBANKS (AP) -- A teen-ager is charged as the second suspect in an attempted robbery at the Oasis Restaurant and Lounge in Fairbanks.
William Richardson, 17, was arrested by Alaska State Troopers Thursday at his parents' Fairbanks home. He was being held at Fairbanks Correctional Center, charged as an adult on one count of first-degree robbery.
Troopers believe Richardson is one of two would-be robbers who entered the Oasis shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday. Sgt. Ron Wall said information points to Richardson being the one who fired a shot into the ceiling soon after entering.
Timothy J. Rogers, 32, is the other suspect in the case.
An Oasis cook, Bill Cook, was playing pool there after his shift and grabbed Rogers while the other suspect ran out. Cook eventually yanked an unloaded revolver from Rogers, authorities said.
