Common techniques to deal with workplace stress

Recommended ways for business executives and employees to deal with stress in the workplace:

-- Exercise, including cardiovascular workout (running), weights, yoga, stretching.

-- Prayer, meditation or mental relaxation exercise.

-- Massage.

-- Commit to an activity that is not related to work or the business.

-- Talk out issues with trusted business friends.

-- Set aside some quiet time each day.

-- Take a nap.

-- Improve ergonomics both in the workplace and personal areas (for example, a pillow that keeps the spine straight).

-- Eat nutritionally balanced meals; don't overeat.

-- Alleviate anger.

-- Take frequent short breaks during the workday.
