Public heath plans one-day closure

The Kenai Public Health Center will be closed Monday. It will reopen at 8 a.m. Tuesday. For more information, call 335-3400.

Legion auxiliary to meet

The American Legion George Plumley Memorial Post No. 20 Woman’s Auxiliary will meet at 6 p.m. Monday. The topic will be election of officers. For more information, call 283-3222.

Hockey sessions slated

Kenai ice session programs will run Monday through April 15 at the ConocoPhillips/Kenai Multipurpose Facility. Registration for spring league, player development camps and private lessons are available. Registration forms are available at Red Line Sports or online at kpha.net. Book club gets its read on

The Kenai library book club will discuss “Water for Elephants” by Sara Gruen on Tuesday. For more information and meeting time, call 776-5684. It is open to the public.

Book fair slated

Central Peninsula Hospital will hold a book fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 5 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 6 in the Denali Conference Center, on the lower level of the Mountain Tower. Proceeds will benefit the auxiliary scholarship program.
