Cory, Carly Davis wrap up snocross seasons

Cory Davis and Carly Davis, both of Soldotna, finished their snocross seasons at the Nielsen Enterprises Grand Finale in Lake Geneva, Wisc., Friday through Sunday. The event is part of the International Series of Champions AMSOIL Championship Snocross Series.

In Pro Open, Cory finished third and fourth in his heats. He then finished sixth in the final. He finished fifth in the season points standings with 289 points. Ross Martin of Kansasville, Wisc., won the series with 411 points.

In Pro Super Stock, Davis finished fourth and first in the heats. He then finished 12th in the final. Cory finished sixth in the season points standings with 258 points. Tim Tremblay of Ste Jeanne D'Arc, Quebec, won the series with 376 points.

In Pro Women Super Stock, Carly came up short of defending her season points championship from a year ago. At the finale, she finished third and first in the heats. She then finished second in the final behind Kylie Abrahamson of Merrifield, Minn. Abrahamson won the series points title with 217 points, while Davis was second with 203 points.
