Posted: Sunday, March 23, 2003

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- In a March 21 story about , The Associated Press reported erroneously that the Board of Game has set a population target of between 3,000 and 3,500 moose for a 520-square-mile study area near McGrath where predator control measures have been approved. The population target is actually for an area of more than 8,000 square miles. The board has not set a population target for the 520-mile study area, but has set a harvest target of 130 to 150 moose annually.
