Women's sobriety group to meet

Women for Sobriety meets every Monday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Women's Resource and Crisis Center, 325 S. Spruce in Kenai.

This self-help recovery program is for women with addiction problems. It is separate from the AA program, but members can use both programs for recovery. For more information, call Linda at 283-2069.

Flood damage topic at Soldotna chamber

Jack Blackwell, coastal district ranger for Alaska State Parks, will be the guest speaker at the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce Tuesday luncheon meeting at noon at the Riverside House. The topic will be flood damage. For more information, call 262-9814.

Fishing group set to meet Wednesday

The Cook Inlet Fishermen's Fund will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture Association Building on Kalifornsky Beach Road in Kenai.

Pothast to speak at Kenai chamber

Sheila Margaret Pothast, facilitator for the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District's mentoring program, will be the guest speaker at Wednesday's meeting of the Kenai Chamber of Commerce.

Newbould to discuss Caring for the Kenai

Denise Newbould will discuss the Caring for the Kenai program at Thursday's meeting of the North Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. The meeting begins at noon at the North Kenai Baptist church. For more information, call 776-3250.

Traffic study meeting planned

The North Peninsula Community Council will hold a Nikiski Traffic Study meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Nikiski Senior Citizens Center.

Volunteers sought for Easter musical

The Soldotna Church of God will present a community Easter musical performance this year. Anyone wishing to help out, either on stage or behind the scenes, is asked to come to the church Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Tack swap planned

The Northwind Riders 4-H club will sponsor a tack swap April 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the C Plaza in Kenai. Participants are encouraged to swap handcrafted horse and livestock items. Registration forms are available at Cad-Re Feed in Soldotna or the Cooperative Extension office on Kalifornsky Beach Road. Preregistration is due April 1. SBDC offers business seminar
