FAIRBANKS (AP) -- A Delta Junction jury convicted a man Friday of 19 counts of sexual impropriety with minors.

Matthew Pease-Madore, 20, was found guilty of multiple counts of sexual assault, sexual abuse of a minor, solicitation for sexual abuse of a minor, and attempted sexual abuse of a minor, all felonies, plus indecent exposure.

The nine women and three men on the jury deliberated for more than 12 hours Thursday and Friday before rendering their decision.

Jurors acquitted Pease-Madore of one count of sexual abuse of a minor, one count of solicitation for sexual abuse of a minor and two counts of third-degree attempted sexual abuse of a minor.

Pease-Madore was charged with sexual contact with young boys between January and June of 2001. Seven victims testified.

One 10-year-old Fairbanks boy encountered Pease-Madore at a church camp at Harding Lake, 45 miles south of Fairbanks, and said he was forced to perform sexual acts.
