After prom committee to meet

Soldotna High School after-prom party committee will meet at 6 p.m. March 30 in the commons. Parent of a juniors are encouraged to attend. For more information, call 262-1468 or 262-9751. Donations are still needed.

Autism support group to meet

An autism spectrum disorders family support group meeting will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. April 6 in room 107 at Soldotna High School. There will be a two-way video conference with Chris Crawford of the Special Education Service Agency. It is open to the public. For more information, call Renie Aragon at 262-6331, ext. 227. The registration deadline is March 31.

Applications for visitor services available

The Kenai National Wildlife Refuge has applications for conducting commercial visitor services on the refuge available.

A special-use permit is required for conducting any commercial visitor services on refuge lands and waters, including portions of the Kenai River with in refuge boundaries. There are limited numbers of permits available that are awarded by competitive selection.

Applications will be accepted in person at refuge headquarters or that are sent in and postmarked no later than April 1. The permit year runs May 1 through April 30, 2006.

Public radio fund-raiser set

The KDLL spring on-air membership drive will run from April 2 through 8. Phone support is still needed. For more information, call 283-8433.

YCC applications available

The Kenai National Wildlife Refuge is accepting applications for summer Youth Conservation Corps jobs for area youths ages 15 to 18.

Applications are available at the refuge, Alaska Employment Service Office in Kenai and from area high school counselors. The deadline for applications 5 p.m. April 15. For more information, call 262-7021.

Crafters, artists sought

Kenai Senior Connections will open a gift shop at Kenai Landing in May and is seeking area artists and crafters interested in selling their items.

Applications are available at Odie's Bead-It shop at Peninsula Center Mall, the Soldotna Public Library or the Kenai Senior Citizens Center.

Applications and craft samples may be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at the Kenai senior center. Applicants also may call to make an appointment. For more information, call Shirley Lennox-Hillyer at 283-4156.
