Mary E. Carmichael

Mary E. Carmichael, 90, of Victoria, Kan., died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009, at St. John's nursing home in Victoria.

She will be buried in Kenai, next to her husband, in a private ceremony at a later date.

Mrs. Carmichael was born May 23, 1919, in Steamboat Springs, Colo., to Fred and Estell (Gospeutes) Downs. She married Dale Carmichael. She was a bookkeeper by profession. Her hobbies included collecting coins and Ivory figurines.

Arrangements were made with Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine Street, Hays, KS 67601.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be sent to St. John's Nursing Home in Victoria and be sent in care of the funeral home.
