Home school meeting to be held

A home school information night will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Sterling Baptist Church. Representatives will be on hand from Alyeska, Copper River, Connections, Cyberlynx and IDEA. For more information, call 262-4947.

B and B Association to meet

The Kenai Peninsula Bed and Breakfast Association will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center.

Auction slated to raise funds

Planned Parenthood of Alaska's Soldotna center will hold its 14th annual "A Choice Evening" auction at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Soldotna Senior Center.

The evening will feature silent, outcry, dollar and balloon auctions for adventure and travel packages, sporting goods, local handcrafted items, gift certificates and more. Tickets for the evening are $30 each or two for $55. All proceeds will directly benefit Planned Parenthood of Alaska, Soldotna Center's programs and services.

Village Fair planned

Healthy Communities-Healthy People will hold its sixth annual Village, Health and Safe Kids Fair Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Soldotna High School. For more information, call 260-3800.

Animal group seeking volunteers, materials

The S.P.C.A. of the Kenai Peninsula is looking for any new or used building materials to build the shelter off Sport Lake Road. The group also is in need of volunteers to help with clearing, building the shelter and fencing for the livestock as well as runs for the dogs. For more information, call 262-8800.

KBEA scholarship applications available

The Kenai Borough Employees Association scholarship committee is accepting applications for four scholarships of $500 each. The scholarships are available to all 2001 graduates of the Kenai Peninsula Borough, including public, private and home-schooled individuals.

Applications and instructions are available from any borough high school counselor's office, at the information desk of the Borough Building in Soldotna or at www.borough.kenai.ak.us.

Applications must be postmarked by Friday.

Secretary, members needed for board

The Peninsula Art Guild of the Kenai Fine Arts Center is in need of members to sit on the board. The guild also is looking for a person to fill the position of secretary or co-secretary. The next meeting is April 22. For more information, call 262-1779.
