Chickaloon man dies in Glenn Highway crash

Posted: Tuesday, March 25, 2003

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A Chickaloon man died in a crash on the Glenn Highway, Alaska State Troopers said Tuesday.

Alexander Wysocki, 46, died at the scene of the crash Monday night near mile 72 of the highway. Troopers in Palmer were notified about the accident at 10:34 p.m.

Wysocki was driving north in a 1994 Mercury Tracer when he apparently drifted off the side of the road, overcorrected and slid sideways into the southbound lane, troopers said.

A southbound 1992 Ford pickup truck driven by Arvin Kerr of Anchorage slammed into the driver's side of Wysocki's car. Kerr, 49, was wearing a seatbelt and sustained only minor injuries, troopers said.
