Angela Margaret (Murphy) Nagasiak
Lifelong Alaskan resident Angela Margaret (Murphy) Nagasiak died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Nicholson’s Assisted Living Home in Soldotna. She was 66.
Memorial services were held Saturday, March 24, at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Kenai. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Bethel.
Ms. Nagasiak was born Sept. 17, 1940, in Akulurak-Bethel. She lived in St. Marys/Mountain Village from 1940-71 until moving to Bethel. In 2003 she moved to Kenai. She was a member of the Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Kenai and of the Catholic Church in Bethel. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and beading.
“Angela Nagasiak will always be remembered by the many that knew her. Her smile, her small laughs, special sayings and her blessings. We all will miss her very, very much,” her family said.
She is survived by her sons, Peter Nagasiak of California and John Nagasiak of Bethel; daughters, Marcia M. Colton of Sterling and Bertha Stevens of Nunapitchuck; daughter-in-law, Margaret Nagasiak of Bethel; sister-in-law, Patricia Polty of Pilot Station; and 13 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the family in care of Marcia Colton, P.O. Box 382 Soldotna, AK 99669.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
