Movie series presented by hospice

Hospice of the Central Peninsula will offer a four-part series, "On Our Own Terms: Moyers on Dying in America" to the community during April. PBS journalist Bill Moyers reports on the growing movement in America to improve care for people who are dying. The first program will be held April 2 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the hospice office at 312 Tyee St. in Soldotna.

Murkowski seeks interns

Alaska high school seniors who are interested in working in Washington, D.C., and learning about the operations of Congress should apply to the summer intern program. Sen. Frank Murkowski is looking for 20 seniors from across Alaska for either of two four-week sessions.

Interns perform a variety of administrative and legislative duties in the Washington office. At the same time, they get to attend lectures by prominent government officials and participate in tours and social events.
