Nikiski gets a new Fire Chief

Former Nikiski Assistant Fire Chief Dan Gregory, is now the new chief of the highly acclaimed Nikiski Fire Department. Gregory was sworn in March 12th, receiving the official oath of office from Kenai Peninsula Borough Clerk Linda Murphy. Formerly from Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, Dan moved to Kenai in 1974 with his wife Marla and daughter. He has been a Nikiski Firefighter for over 20 years. "He's very happy about being Chief, it's been a personal goal of his for a long time," said Marla.
