Relay For Life meeting today

American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life planning committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. today in the Iliamna Room at Central Peninsula Hospital. The committee also is seeking volunteers for a volunteer coordinator and an opening and closing ceremonies chairman. The relay will be held June 1 and 2 at the Skyview High School track.

Hockey sessions begin

Kenai ice session programs will run today through April 15 at the ConocoPhillips/Kenai Multipurpose Facility. Registration for spring league, player development camps and private lessons are available. Registration forms are available at Red Line Sports or online at

Skyview after-grad meeting set

Skyview High School after-graduation committee will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the commons. Volunteers are needed. Parents of seniors and juniors are needed to volunteer. For more information, call 262-1690.

SoHi after-prom meeting slated

Soldotna High School after-prom committee will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the teacher’s lounge. Volunteers are still needed.

CPH spring bazaar set

Central Peninsula Hospital auxiliary will hold a spring bazaar Thursday and Friday in the Denali Conference room at the hospital. Tables are available for vendors to rent. Applications for tables are available at the hospital gift shop. Deadline for applications is Friday. For more information, call Eve Thompson at 283-7281.

Senior Easter dinner planned

The American Legion George Plumley Memorial Unit No. 20 will hold its annual free senior Easter dinner at 5 p.m. Thursday at its hall. Seniors interested in attending are asked to call 283-3222 to make a reservation.

Dance concert set to boogie

The Nikiski High School dance troupe will host a dance concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and April 6 and 7 at the Renee C. Henderson Auditorium in Kenai. Guest artists will include the SoHi Star Sensations, Peninsula Artists in Motion and Encore Dance Studio. Tickets are available at The Bear Paw Cafe in Nikiski, Charlotte’s in Kenai and River City Books in Soldotna. Pre-sold ticket prices are $7 for adults and $5 for children ages 18 and under and senior citizens. Tickets sold at the door will cost $10 for adults and $8 for children ages 18 and under and senior citizens.
