Kasilof resident Hosanna Barbara Pollock was born and died Thursday, March 24, 2005, at Central Peninsula General Hospital in Soldotna.
No memorial is planned.
"We had the privilege of holding and cherishing her for four hours until she died. While her time with us was fleeting and our hearts ache to hold her again. Her life was meaningful and profound. Many lives were touched by her brief but precious presence," her family said.
"(We) take comfort in the words of King David who lost his son. 'He is dead ... . Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him but he will not return to me.' (We) stake (our) lives on the promise of that reunion and look forward to holding Hosanna in (our) arms again, healthy, joyous and whole."
Hosanna is survived by her parents, Todd and Diane Pollock; sisters, Adaya and Naomi Pollock; grandparents, Harold and Audrey Cady and Charles and Loree Pollock; and many other family and friends.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
