Used book sale planned

The Soldotna Public Library will hold a used book sale from 1 to 4:30 p.m. today. The library is seeking donations of books and puzzles in good condition.

CPGH Inc. board members to meet

Central Peninsula General Hospital Inc., board of directors will meet at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the Iliamna Conference Room at the hospital. It is open to the public. For a copy of the agenda visit www.cpgh.org.

Peaceful people to meet

People for Peace and Justice will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at River City Books in Soldotna. It is open to the public. For more information, call 262-5447.

Play auditions set

Kenai Performers will hold auditions for its spring show “The Dining Room” by A. R. Gurney at 6 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Old Town Playhouse across from the Kenai Chamber of Commerce cabin. Casting call is open to males and females of all ages.

Cheerleading registration continues

Kenai Peninsula Pop Warner Association will hold registration for cheerleading from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Soldotna Safeway; and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 7 at the Kenai Safeway. For more information, call 262-4870.

ACT event set

The Alliance of Concerned Taxpayers will hold a free ice cream social from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Anchor Point Senior Citizens Center. For more information, call 252-4852.

Family ski event slated

Tsalteshi Trails Association will hold a family spring relay event at 2 p.m. Sunday at the trails behind Skyview High School. Short course only, classic and skate races are planned. Snowshoe and sledding also will be held. Event is free to association members and $10 for nonmember team. Proceeds to benefit trails maintenance. Kasilof book fair planned

Kasilof Public Library and Tustumena Elementary School will hold a Scholastic buy-one get-one free book fair with new and used books from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 9, 11, 12, 16, 18 and 19 and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 10, 13 and 17 in the school’s library. Proceeds will benefit the Kasilof Public Library.
