Anchorage man crushed by beams

ANCHORAGE (AP) -- An Anchorage man was killed Wednesday after being crushed by beams at a building materials company.

Robert Duenas, 34, suffered massive head injuries.

He was working at Uresco Construction Material, Inc., when he climbed atop an outside storage rack to reach a group of laminated beams. When he cut the metal strip that was holding the beams together, they fell on top of him. He died at the scene.
