Dog agility class set to run

Kenai Kennel Club will offer a beginning dog agility class, open to all dogs, on Fridays, starting April 7 at its facility in the C Plaza in Kenai. Agility is where a handler directs a dog through an obstacle course.

KKC also offers ongoing classes in puppy kindergarten, basic, intermediate and advance obedience, rally obedience, conformation and handling. To find out more or to sign up for classes, call 335-2552 and leave a message.

Habitat begins building season

Central Peninsula Habitat for Humanity is accepting applications for its building season through April 10. Applications are available by calling the office at 283-7797, 283-3910 or by mail at CPHfH, P.O. Box 2113, Kenai, AK 99611.

Girl Scout leader appreciation set

The Central Peninsula Girl Scouts will host a leader appreciation banquet from 6 to 8 p.m. April 22 at the Challenger Learning Center of Alaska. It is open to the public. The cost is $18.75 per person for a three-course catered dinner. Speakers, an awards ceremony and slide show are some of the planned activities.
