Kasilof resident Peter LeMay died Friday, March 20, 2009, after a short battle with cancer. He was 67.
His and his wife's ashes will be spread by their family and friends at a later date.
Mr. LeMay was born June 22, 1941, in Massachusetts to Perry and Ethel LeMay. He moved to Alaska in 1985 where he opened LeMay and Associates.
"Pete enjoyed playing cards, cribbage, family gatherings, movies, fishing and watching wrestling with his grandson, family and friends," his family said.
"Pete enjoyed telling stories and visiting with his clients, friends and families. Collecting was a fond hobby at which he enjoyed telling the stories of its heritage and his family history. Pete has touched everyone that he meet. He was a very caring person with a wonderful sense of humor and will be greatly missed."
Mr. LeMay was proceeded in death by his mother and father; and wife, Gail LeMay.
Mr. LeMay is survived by his children, Linda Louise (LeMay) Parvin, of Soldotna; Peter Weston LeMay Jr., of Monticello, Maine; and Brenda Jean LeMay, of Haverhill, Mass; his sister, Linda (LeMay) Ellis, of Florida; her children, Brian Ellis, Scott Ellis and Robert Ellis, of Massachusetts; grandchildren Jessica LeMay and Michele LeMay, of Monticello; and Joseph Peter LeMay-Lunn and Myllinda Parvin, of Soldotna; and great grandchildren Samantha and Damien, of Monticello.
