Marilyn Jean Youngdahl, of Brainerd, Minn., passed away June 28, 2010, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. She was 68.
Mrs. Youngdahl was born Oct. 13, 1941, in Brainerd, the daughter of Arthur and Violet (Franzen) Nichols. After graduating high school she married David Youngdahl on Aug. 27, 1960. In 1966 the couple moved to Alaska where they were blessed with their daughter, Merri. After calling Alaska home for many years they moved their family back to Brainerd, where she was a homemaker. Mrs. Youngdahl had a great love for horses and her dogs. She was also a former member of the Brainerd Saddle club and a Tops member.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Youngdayl was survived by her husband of 49 years, David; daughter, Merri Oder (Steve Nordin) of Brainerd; brother Wayne Nichols, of Brainerd; sister Sharon (Dallas) Miller, of Soldotna; three grandchildren Brock (Katie Ruesken), Angela, and Alex Oder, all of Brainerd; great grandchild Jizelle Ruesken; and seven nieces and nephews.
