Quake near Cold Bay

PALMER (AP) -- An earthquake was recorded Friday near the tip of the Alaska Peninsula.

The Alaska Tsunami Warning Center in Palmer said the quake occurred at 1:05 p.m. and had a magnitude of 4.3.

It was centered 65 miles southwest of Cold Bay, but there were no reports that it was felt in that community.
