All ballots for the Kenai Peninsula Borough's special election on cocurricular activity funding are due by 5 p.m. today.
The ballots ask voters: "Do you approve the exercise of powers necessary for the Kenai Peninsula Borough to directly fund cocurricular activities for the school district in addition to operating funds currently authorized by law?"
Ballots must be marked, signed by the voter, signed by a witness and include a voter "identifier" either the voter's identification number, Social Security number or birth date.
Ballots can be turned in to the borough clerk's office in the Borough Building at 148 N. Binkley in Soldotna, to the Homer annex or to city clerk's offices in Seldovia or Seward. All ballots must be received not postmarked by 5 p.m. today.
Results are expected to be available starting Thursday afternoon.
