Senior service board to meet April 7
The Nikiski Senior Service board will meet at 4:30 p.m. April 7 at the Nikiski Senior Citizens Center. The public is invited to attend. For more information, call Leigh at 776-7654.
AARP of Alaska to offer tax assistance
The AARP is offering free income tax assistance for senior citizens, low- to middle-income families and single-parent households from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday through April 15 at the Homer Senior Citizens Center at 3935 Svedlund. All returns are e-filed without charge. Earned income and other tax credits are computed.
Internal Revenue Service trained AARP volunteers will be available to help. For more information or to make an appointment, call (907) 235-7655.
