Kaleidoscope School of Arts and Sciences

The Kaleidoscope School of Arts and Sciences (KSAS) is a new public charter school established to offer educational choice for students and parents in the community. The arts and sciences are the focus of the curriculum, and the vehcile through which much of the curriculum is studied.

KSAS will open in the fall of 2004 for students in grades one through three, and the school will be housed at Sears Elementary School in Kenai.

An enrollment lottery will be held at 4 p.m. April 29. Parents of first- and second-grade students who are interested in filling out a student application for KSAS will be required to attend an informational meeting.

Parent meetings will be held at the Sears Elementary School library at 7 p.m. Tuesday, at 4 p.m. April 15 and at 6 p.m. April 22.

All applications must be hand-delivered to Sears by 4 p.m. April 23.
