The Challenger Learning Center of Alaska (CLCA) would like to express our deepest thanks to the Central Peninsula Health Foundation's (CPHF) support of our summer Cosmic Adventure Camps. Last year we earned American Camp Association (ACA) accreditation, and this year the ACA required that all accredited camps have an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) on site. CLCA is a non-profit organization that does not receive any regular city, borough, state, or federal funding, and we work to keep our costs as low as possible. Through CPHF's generous donation, we were able to secure an AED without having to absorb the costs or pass it onto camper families. In fact, CPHF's generous sponsorship allows us to continue offering our camps to Alaska's youth and families for the least possible out-of-pocket cost to them. Additionally, while the AED is required for our summer camp accreditation, it is available in the facility year round. Thank you very much CPHF for your support!
