Dog sledding for donations

Winners of the Peninsula Sled Dog and Racing Association's annual businessmen's and women's race pose after the race.

The Soldotna Animal Hospital team, owned by Kurt and Neil Stausbaugh of Sterling and driven by Kim Moore, above left, placed first and donated winnings to the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank and placed first. Dr. Eileen Sverdrup, right, took second and donated winnings to the Kenai Boys and Girls Club. Her team was provided by Mitch Michaud and Jane Fuerstenau of Soldotna. Amy Warfle, center, took third with a team sponsored by Kaladi Brothers and provided by Patty and Rob Harris of Kasilof. Her winnings also went to the food bank.
