Most Soldotna Community School classes require preregistration and prepayment. For more information, call the Soldotna Community School office at 262-6768. Note: Children are not allowed to wait unattended while a parent attends a class or to attend an adult class.

Tuesday

Tumbling and Movement with Melissa Daugherty, 15-year gymnastics coach, safety certified through the U.S. Gymnastics Federation. From beginning to intermediate tumbling for boys and girls -- work with movement equipment and on balance beam and floor for greater strength, flexibility and coordination. Parent permission slip and two contact phone numbers required. Seven weeks, first through third grade, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., Sterling Elementary School gym, $40.

High School Days with Carrie Henson, creative memories consultant. Bring five to eight photos from your activities of the last school year and learn to preserve your high school memories by putting together a high school memory album page. One night, high school teens, two-person minimum, 15-person maximum, 6:30 to 8 p.m., Soldotna Middle School, home economics room, $10.

Hunter Education with Larry Lewis, Wildlife Technician III, Alaska Department. of Fish and Game. Designed to develop responsible hunters and hunting practices, promote sound wildlife conservation and encourage the public, particularly the youth, to participate in hunting. Pick up packet before class from Department of Fish and Game. Call for more information, 262-9368.

Hunters born after Jan. 1, 1986, must possess Hunter Education

Certification to legally hunt in units 7, 13, 14, 15 and 20. Certification is recognized in all 50 states.

Class is open to ages 9 through adult, but a parent must accompany students ages 9 to 13. Five nights, Tuesday through Thursday and April 9 and 10, 6 to 9 p.m., Soldotna Middle School library, $10.

Wednesday

Custom Rod Building with George McDowell, Mac's Rod Shop. Novice or experienced rod builders welcome. Rod prices vary from $68 to $210. No halibut rods. Three sessions, Wednesday 7 to 9 p.m., April 27 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and May 4 9 a.m. to noon, ages 12 and older, 10-person maximum, Soldotna Middle School, room 6, $20 plus materials.

Thursday

Tumbling and Movement with Melissa Daugherty, 15-year gymnastics coach, safety certified through the U.S. Gymnastics Federation (see Tuesday). Class meets for seven weeks at the Sterling Elementary School gym. Fourth through sixth grades, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., $40. Ages three through kindergarten, 4:30 to 5 p.m., $30.

Past Lives: Fact of Fiction with Gary Fandel, certified hypnotherapist, BodyMind Therapeutics. An introduction to past life regression for the serious and curious alike. Discover how others have found therapeutic value in their experience of past lives. Understand how it may not be in conflict with any religious belief. Class will be an interactive forum. One night, adults, five-person minimum, 6 to 8 p.m., Soldotna Middle School, room 4, $10.
