Thanks Where, Who, Why, When, and What For?

Posted: Thursday, April 01, 2010

He's risen from the tomb, Easter stories say.

The stone covering His grave was rolled away.

Where had He gone, what happened that day?

Just three days before, my sins He would bear

while He hung on a cross and suffered despair.

Who but God would love me that much to care?

He gave up His Son suffering for my inequities

between two lost criminals on two other trees.

Why'd one mock Him and the other ask please?

Because none but Jesus could erase all that sin,

and instead of death, we have eternal life when

we open our hearts and ask Christ to enter in.

The Bible says ask, seek, and knock at His door.

Some accept this advice, but still others ignore.

For me, the answers He gives are the what for.

John 3:16 tells of God's Love for you and for me.

He allowed His one and only son to die on a tree,

but if I truly believe in Him, I will live eternally.
