TULUKSAK (AP) -- A Tuluksak man whose snowmachine was found in the Kuskokwim River is missing, Alaska State Troopers said Monday.

More than two dozen volunteers searched for Golga Napoka, 57, on Saturday. They found his Polaris snowmachine near an area of open water on the river and his brown cap. Troopers said recovery efforts will continue.

Several people told troopers they saw a snomachine near the area more than a week ago. They said it was traveling without a headlight and was going in the direction of the southwest Alaska village. Snowmachine tracks were found that led to the water's edge.
