ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A man from the Yukon River village of Russian Mission died of hypothermia in a steam bath Sunday, Alaska State Troopers said.
Charlie Kozevnikoff, 22, was found dead in his father's steam house early Sunday morning.
A trooper from St. Mary's responded to investigate the death. According to the investigation, Kozevnikoff had been drinking and then decided to take a steam bath by himself Saturday night. He apparently lost consciousness sometime after lighting the stove, troopers said.
The cause of death is attributed to hypothermia and alcohol.
