FAIRBANKS (AP) -- University of Alaska President Mark Hamilton was released Tuesday from Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.
Hamilton was hospitalized last week after suffering complications from a snowmachining mishap that occured the week before. A university spokesman said Hamilton thought the discomfort that resulted was temporary, but he apparently suffered some arterial damage. He was hospitalized for observation and tests.
University officials said Hamilton will rest at home for the rest of this week and will return to his office next week.
