Ever since Hospice of the Kenai Peninsula moved to their new offices on Tyee Street in Soldotna last summer, they have been without a sign.
According to Executive director Liz Schubert, that made it challenging for folks to find their new location, "We've never had a sign since we moved here from Kenai to let the community know where our office is located," said Schubert.
Then Ester Rhines who recently lost her husband to cancer thought that a new sign would be a fitting memorial, "I wanted to do something in memorial for John in addition to the new stained glass window at the United Methodist Church in Kenai," said Rhines. "We're very happy to have this bright new sign as a donation in memory of our friend Mr. John Rhines," added Schubert.
Hospice offers grief support groups that meet at the office, "and of course the coffee pot is always on," said Schubert. For more information about Hospice call 262-0453.
