Serious thoughts about a funny man

In the age of multiple career changes and attention deficit disorder, it’s impressive to find longevity in anything. That’s why it’s with sadness that we announce that in today’s Clarion you’ll find the final column of A.E. Poynor’s Of Moose and Men.

Mr. Poynor has been writing his humor column for the Clarion for 15 years, an amazing accomplishment in any arena.

He has become a treasured part of the paper’s history, and we hate to see his words disappear from our pages — at least for now. We have his promise that he’ll show up from time to time with his words of wisdom.

He claims he needs a rest, and as well-deserved as it may be, we’re reluctant to let him go, and certainly not without letting him know how much he’ll be missed.

Good luck, Alan, and don’t forget to write.
