Isabella Ladybug LaRoche, infant daughter of Dennis and Anna LaRoche, died Sunday, March 31, 2002, at home in Sterling. She was 2 days old.
A memorial mass will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Soldotna. Father Richard Tero will officiate.
Her ashes will be buried on the LaRoche homestead in Sterling.
Isabella was born March 29, 2002, at Providence Hospital in Anchorage.
She was baptized Catholic.
"Isabella experienced a lifetime of love, tenderness and joy in the short time she was with us. She will always be our little Ladybug," her family said.
She is survived by her parents; brother, Christopher Gucker of Sterling; grandparents, Dr. Odillon and Jeanne LaRoche of Vermont and Judge George and Theresa Gucker of Alaska; aunts and uncles, Michelle and Ray Kaptenja of South Carolina, Suzanne and Noel Cunningham, Kenneth LaRoche, Karren and Chris Wall, Rebecca and Dean Bordonaro and Jessie LaRoche, all of Connecticut, Scott LaRoche of Vermont, Eric and Cathy Gucker, Rena and Hank Brinker, Kurt Gucker and Linda Mancusso, and Gina Gucker, all of Alaska, and Nick Gucker of Washington; and 13 cousins and many great-aunts and uncles in Alaska, Connecticut and Vermont.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
