Kenai resident Jerry Anthony Webb died Saturday, March 23, 2002. He was 49.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Church of the Nazarene in Nikiski.
Mr. Webb was born in the territory of Alaska in Nov. 27, 1952, and came from a family of seven children in Old Mt. View in Anchorage. His varied jobs took him from the Cook Inlet oil platforms and the fisheries industry in the 1970s through the vehicle repair program at Anchorage Community College in the 1980s. He eventually settled with his family in Homer in the mid-1980s.
"He always had a small circle of friends, many of whom he counted on for life. Growing up, he chose his paths according to his friendships," his family said.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Doyle and Shirley Webb.
He is survived by his daughter, Kelly Tatum of Anchorage; sons, Jeremy Webb of Anchor Point, Shawn Webb and Robbie Webb, both of Anchorage; brothers, Bob Webb of Kenai, Bill Webb of Kirkland, Wash., Brian Webb and Bruce Webb, both of Anchorage; sisters, Cherie Wilson of Medical Lake, Wash., and Nancy Grant of Anchorage; and numerous stepchildren.
Arrangements were made by Anchorage Funeral Home.
