Kasilof resident Lilalee Allen died at her home Tuesday, March 29, 2005. She was 74.
Services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Allen was born Feb. 10, 1931, in Bakersfield, Calif., where she graduated from high school. While in California she worked as a cook and waitress. In 1992, she moved to Alaska, where she has resided ever since. She enjoyed growing flowers and collecting curios.
"Lilalee was a very outgoing person, loved by all who knew her and always had a big smile on her face and a hug and kiss for anybody who visited her, as well as some type of gift when they would leave," her family said. "She had many children who called her 'grandma' and loved to visit with her. She was an excellent cook, as well."
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ralph Allen of Kasilof; stepsons, John Allen of Boulder City, Nev., and Gregory and Phillip Allen, both of San Pedro, Calif.; stepdaughter, Dianna McConnachie of San Pedro; grandsons, J.M. Allen of Boulder City, Raymond Allen of Corona, Calif. and Cory McConnachie of San Pedro; aunt, Doris Steinhoff of Bakersfield; and nephews, Mike Hixison of Murrieta, Calif., and Chuck, Craig and Mark Steinhoff, all of Long Beach, Calif.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
