Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, at the Kenai City Cemetery. Pastor Robin Davis will officiate. A gathering will follow the graveside services at the Cissells' residence, 2710 Set Net Court in Kenai.
Mrs. Robison was born July 25, 1930, to E.S. and Annie (Davis) Pierce in Walters, Okla. She graduated from high school and was a mother and homemaker. She moved to Fairbanks and resided there for five years before moving to Kenai in 1967, where she resided for the last 36 years.
Mrs. Robison worked for several restaurants in Kenai. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kenai.
"Opal was an excellent cook, and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had a very special ability to love and support her children, while working and being a single mother. She was very generous with her limited funds. She always instilled in us that having a relationship with Jesus Christ would always help us through the trials in life. The legacy she left was instilling the word of God to her family and friends. She held these principles until her last breath. We will miss and always love her," her family said.
Mrs. Robison was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters, Goldie, Leslie, Frank, Glen, Gene, Cecil, Willard, Clearance, Floyd, EB Pierce, Loraine McClain and Pearl Snow.
She is survived by her son, Johnny Jackson of Houston, Texas, and Craig Robison and his wife, Pam, of Stuttgart, Germany; daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Wayne Cissell and Donna and Bert Sullivan, all of Kenai; grandchildren, Brandi Propfe, John Jackson, Johanna and Ryan Jones, Wayne and Alexis Cissell, Angie and Jerred McAdara, Amber Wortham and her husband, Shawn, Hondo Jones, Heather Kaskey and Brittany, Zack, Levi and Lacey Robison; and 13 great-grandchildren.
